J ~ I love your super cute (and useful!) blog. B tuned me in. Here are two suggestions for you:

    1) Saint Cupcake — two locations in Portland, Oregon. We welcome visitors! I am going to send you a photo of the cupcakes (we had the mini-size: Dots) we had to celebrate M’s 3rd birthday last month. In my opinion, the toasted coconut cream ones are amazing. http://www.saintcupcake.com/

    2) Cake Love — on U Street in Washington. Nearly six years ago we enjoyed a selection of these cupcakes at our wedding, in lieu of a traditional wedding cake. Loved them! http://www.cakelove.com/

We’ll have to go cupcake crusading next time we’re together!! Gosh, it’s so hard to pick a favorite cupcake…I think I go back and forth between vanilla w/chocolate or strawberry. You can’t go wrong with Red Velvet though, YUM!

Wow this blog is such a cute and great idea! I am in the process of opening a specialty cupcake shop in the North Atlanta area! May I bend your ear? I would love your input on offerings, decor and more! Let’s talk.

Hi! I kinda wish that I never found your site! 🙂 Now you’ve given me a huge list of cupcake places to try! Argh! I live in northern Virginia and go to Atlanta a few times per year. I hadn’t realized that there were so many places in the area!

I just looked on the Lenox Cupcakes site and it says “Micro-minis, gluten-free, sugar-free, and vegan cupcakes available by advance order.” On the Miss Mamie’s, she mentions that she does Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Sugar Free, but I’m not sure if that means cupcakes or cakes. If I have to buy a whole cake, then so be it!

Thank you for including gluten free in your breakdown. This is very helpful to me – I’ve been gluten free for about 3 years.

    Great site!

Thanks so much for reading and kind words, Valerie. And for the great information on Lenox and Miss Mamie’s! I’m so intrigued by the idea of “micro-minis”, I just may have to look into those 🙂 I’m glad the gluten free has been helpful in the breakdown, hopefully that will be a given at all bakeries soon! Let me know if you come across any cupcakeries in your travels that I need to try 🙂 Thanks again!

Hi there! I came across your blog when I was setting up a twitter account for my blog! It seems as if we are on the same mission (with a similar name – Sorry about that! I did a google search before setting up my blog and buying my domain name). I was wondering if you would ever want to help each other out? I’m located further north than you are, and have been to 5 of the locations on your “to-do” list and already have plans to go to 3 more. I go to NYC a lot, so one of those 3 is Baked by Melissa, which I plan to go to this weekend. The other 2, Cake Dreams and Just Cakes, I’ll be going to in October on my 2011 Mini Cupcake tour. Let me know if you want to ever do some cross blogging? It seems like you are located in the Atlanta area, and I’d love to have some Atlanta reviews posted on my blog. Let me know what you think! 🙂

Hello fellow cupcake crusader!! Man, I wish we lived in the same area (I do indeed live near Atlanta), it’d be awesome to go taste-testing together! Tell me more about your cupcake tour, sounds fantastic! I want to go 🙂 And cross blogging sounds cool! I’ve never done it before so you might have to walk me through it a little. Feel free to email me at jeannemarieroberts@gmail.com. Thanks for reaching out!
